Mountjoy has been selected by Amery Hill School in Alton to carry out the design and build of a new dining hall and kitchen facility for the school.

The £1.1m project commenced in late March 2019 and involves the construction of a new dining hall and kitchen that will allow a future first floor to be added a later date. The project forms the first phase of an ambitious building programme for the school, who plan to construct a new auditorium in the future along with Drama and Dance facilities.

The Healthy Pupils Capital Fund have offered a significant proportion of the funding for the project; this is in line with the school’s philosophy of developing the whole child. The Fund aims to improve access to facilities for physical activity, healthy eating, mental health and general wellbeing at state schools across the country.

The building work is due for completion in October 2019 and adds to Mountjoy’s growing portfolio of construction and refurbishment projects for schools, academies and colleges across the South East.
