Mountjoy Helps Out Local Family Centre
On Wednesday 6th March, Mountjoy took part in a community initiative involving a local family centre in need of additional storage facilities.
Mountjoy sourced and donated two metal sheds, which were delivered to the Battenburg Family Centre on Battenburg Avenue, Portsmouth by our internal Materials Delivery Service. Mountjoy Operatives, John Corns and Ross Jones, were on hand at the site to erect the two sheds, which will enable the Family Centre to preserve their garden supplies for the enjoyment of local families.
Staff at the Family Centre noted that whilst the weather conditions on the day weren’t great, John and Ross continued to work tirelessly and with a smile on their faces.
Mountjoy are committed to supporting the local community, and our staff regularly volunteer to help update community facilities and homes for the benefit of residents.
Mountjoy Assists Local School with Mock Interviews
Mountjoy were delighted to support Mayfield School’s Employer Interview Day, which took place on Tuesday 19th March. The event was organised by the Education Business Partnership (EBP) South, with whom Mountjoy share a close working relationship in order to benefit the educational prospects of local young people.
The event enables young people to prepare for their first interviews, whether this be for work experience or for their first part-time job. Prior to the event, they prepare a CV and gain an understanding of standard interview procedures, before undertaking a mock interview with a local EBP South Business Ambassador.
Kane Young, Plumber at Mountjoy, attended the event on behalf of Mountjoy and noted the enthusiasm and professionalism of the students involved.
