Mountjoy has been exhibiting at three local careers fairs in the last week aimed at motivating different ages of pupils about the workplace.
The Havant Federation of Schools Career Fair started the week off with 9 schools and colleges in attendance. The event allowed students access to a wide range of information, advice and guidance with hands on activities and the opportunity to meet students and staff from local businesses, colleges and universities.
Business South's Opportunity Meets Talent event invited local higher and further education students along to match talented people to real jobs. Mountjoy sponsored the event along with Balfour Beatty, Carnival UK and Southampton Solent University.
For younger pupils, the Education Business Partnership ran their Get Inspired careers fair held at Portsmouth Guildhall. Aimed at 10 to 16 year olds, the event was designed to give them an understanding of the exciting career paths that the wide range of businesses in and around Portsmouth offer. Featuring an army obstacle course, cookie decorating, pancake flipping and Mountjoy's wire buzzer game, the fair was both interactive and educational for pupils.
