Mountjoy Ltd’s Special Projects team recently attained a contract with new client, the Museum of Army Flying.
The project is Phase 1 of Project Eagle which will involve the construction of a dignified memorial to more than 5,000 that have died in the service of British Army Flying from early pioneers to the modern Army Air Corps. The Memorial, at the museum in Middle Wallop, will be a focus for local, veteran and serving communities reflecting their common heritage of service and sacrifice no matter what their regimental background. The contract commenced on 12th June and is due to take three months.
This week the first art panel in the circular memorial was set in place, there are 38 more to follow before they are rendered and landscaping works are carried out. This will be the first memorial in England to commemorate army flying.
