Mountjoy have recently secured a contract worth approximately £800k for reroofing works at Limberline Industrial Estate in Portsmouth, on behalf of Portsmouth City Council.
The project is comprised of the over roofing of existing roof coverings on several industrial units, using an insulated steel roofing system.
The units are located across six separate terraces, with the majority of surrounding units remaining occupied throughout the project, so careful safety and logistical planning will be an integral part of the works.
The works will involve:
- Over-laying existing roofs with an additional layer of Rockwool insulation
- Covering roofs with a new steel roof system
- The renewal of gullies, upstands, and abutments
- Amending perimeter cappings
- Formation of new gutter details to suit the new roof profile
Works are due to start in March 2023, with completion in May 2023.
