We are pleased to announce that Paul Deluchi, Contract Manager on our maintenance contract with Portsmouth City Council, has recently undertaken a voluntary role within Portsmouth City Council’s Employment Academy Steering Group.
Members of the group undertake leadership roles in different elements of the care leavers journey in Portsmouth, supporting those who have recently left care to gain access to employment and training and helping them to live independent lives.
Paul was recommended for the role due to his support of Shaping Portsmouth’s Care Leavers Programme which aims to help care leavers build ongoing relationships with the business community. Paul worked closely with local non-profit Shaping Portsmouth through the recruitment of Mountjoy team member, Jamie Coles, whose role within Mountjoy was secured in partnership with the programme.
Paul’s role within the Steering group, in addition to our signing of the Care Leavers Covenant and partnership with the Care Leavers Programme, furthers Mountjoy’s commitment to providing support for care leavers.
