6th Phase Underway at Pool in the Park

Since October 2019 Mountjoy has been assisting Woking Borough Council in their £3.2m Pool in the Park investment programme, which aims to bring new life and vitality to the popular leisure centre. Phased works undertaken so far have provided a new atrium structure with a new roof structure and curtain walling, a new roof to the pool’s public gallery, upgraded glulam beams and refurbished changing rooms. 

Thanks to excellent progress in the above, we have now been awarded Phase 6 of the scheme which comprises the conversion of an open balcony area into four physiotherapy suites and an office along with associated works.

The scheme is now due to be completed in January 2021, providing the Woking community with refreshed leisure facilities at what is anticipated to be a busy time of year for the centre.
