Since 2021, Mountjoy have been a primary contractor on the first tier of Portsmouth City Council’s Primary Contractor Framework, alongside five other contractors.
The framework provides tendering opportunities for a range of multi-disciplinary project and maintenance work across the council’s portfolio of 15,000 social housing properties and 900 corporate assets, including schools, libraries, Leisure Centres, Social care and related facilities, community centres, industrial buildings, and cultural assets.
On all contracts won through the framework, Mountjoy undertake the role of Principal Contractor, managing works through both direct labour and our vetted supply chain of local subcontractors.
The framework covers both building maintenance and larger construction projects, including works such as:
- Window and fire door replacement
- External and communal decoration
- Electrical works
- Fencing
- Conversion/Refurbishment of properties
- Extensions
- Disabled adaptations
- Construction projects
Previous projects procured and completed by Mountjoy through this framework include a £210k refurbishment project at Cliffdale Primary Academy (these were Phase 2 of the works, Phase 1 were also completed by Mountjoy in 2019), and an £800k reroofing contract at Limberline Industrial Estate.
The Primary Contractor Framework adds to our portfolio of works completed in partnership with Portsmouth City Council, along with our Housing Maintenance Contract that has been running since 2006.
