The Objective

Harwin PLC required an extension to their facility to provide a warehouse in which they could store all of their production materials within one designated area, and improve productivity.

The Solution

Mountjoy constructed a new brick building with a metal-frame and was clad to match the existing buildings on site. The external surrounding area was levelled and tarmacked to provide a suitable road surface for deliveries. Internally, the extension has been fitted out with electrics and lighting and fully decorated.

One key challenge for this project was the proximity of the new extension to a main railway line.

The extension is not only work we have carried out for Harwin. Mountjoy has also:

• Refurbished the exterior of their machine shop – the whole building was reclad and new PVCu windows and doors were installed.
• Refurbished the exterior of their office building – the main entrance was removed and rebuilt, and the entire building re-clad.
• Carried out re-tarmacking and installed new rhino hoop safety barriers to the car park.
